Dr. Christopher B. C. Koo is a dual board-certified anesthesiologist and intensivist practicing at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His clinical work spans the operating room, the medical and surgical intensive care units, and tele-ICU attending coverage — giving him a direct, current view of how perioperative and critical-care services actually operate, day in and day out.

Artificial intelligence & machine learning
A particular professional and personal interest of mine is the usage of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) in medicine. I have worked in applying ML tools in clinical tasks spanning predictive analytics, clinical decision support, and generative AI. He is actively involved in research in this area, with manuscripts on generative AI and machine learning in medicine forthcoming.
